Artist Information

Cimarron 615 grew out of the tragic loss of Poco founder Rusty Young in 2021, when the surviving members of Poco - Jack Sundrud, Rick Lonow, and Tom Hampton - joined forces with former Poco keyboardist Michael Webb and Bill Lloyd (of country duo Foster and Lloyd, collaborator with Rusty in the Sky Kings) were offered the opportunity to make a new album of original songs by Blue Elan label head Kirk Pasich. The band had just participated in a video taping for a tribute concert and documentary, and the potential to bring new energy to the bands' legacy must have been apparent. All the members are prolific singers, songwriters and musicians with an engrained respect for their collective past and a keen eye towards the possibilities presented by their collaboration. They contributed four songs to the Blue Elan compilation album "My Friend: A Tribute to Rusty Young", recorded in a single day in Los Angeles under the eye of Dave and Zachary Darling, and settled in at Treasure Isle in their native Nashville to create their debut album in 2022 - the album will see the light of day at the beginning of 2023, and the band is looking forward to sharing new music with longtime fans and new listeners for years to come.
