Singer/songwriter, guitarist, storyteller, sailor and road warrior are all words that aptly describe Scott Kirby. Writing songs for his 10th album and performing over 100 live shows throughout the US, Canada and Ireland keep the barnacles off this modern day troubadour. Kirby migrated south from New Hampshire 30 years ago and has spent the winter months in Key West ever since.
When it comes to songwriting, this descendant of Newfoundland fishermen counts on his coastal roots and everyday life on the road less taken for much of his inspiration. He has collaborated on a number of songs with Russ Kunkel and Peter Mayer and has shared the stage with Carol King, Jimmy Buffett, Tom Rush, Marty Stuart, Asleep at the Wheel, Mac McAnally, Livingston Taylor and others.
James Kirby is an award winning English singer/songwriter with a unique and dynamic acoustic guitarist style that has captivated audiences across the UK and Europe for years. He has recorded in Nashville and made his fist appearance in Key West in 2019 where he joined Scott for a week of performances.
James and Scott, who met through a mutual friend, are not actually related, but hope to be able to perform together more in the US and Europe as the world gets back to normal.
